Ashihara Karate Sri Lanka branch is led by the branch chief shihan Anil Hudasinghe, a 4th dan black belter of Ashihara Karate International Organization.

A�A� A� A� A� A� A�shihan Anil has more than 25 years of experience in the field of karate. He has learned karate under various masters from various disciplines and has traveled many countries to serve his knowledge and experience on karate to the people, all over the world.

A�A� A� A� A� A� A�Scholar Anil has entered the field of karate as a teenager, initiating his journey through the path of success in the January of 1980, as a student of International Kyokushin Kai Kan. The Sri Lankan tour of the Japan Master of Kyokushin Karate, N. Hirata, was a remarkable turning point of Anila��s karate life. He then trained under the shihan N. Hirata and luckily got the chance to attend to an international training camp held in India in the November of 1980.

A�A�A� A� A� A�A�A� A�By the mid of 1984, shihan Anil was conducting Polgahawela dojo as an assistant instructor of karate. Later he obtained the membership of International Ashihara Kai- Kan (NIKO) organization and in 1985 he had introduced the dynamic style of Ashihara Karate to his hometown, originating the establishment of Sri Lanka Branch Head Quarters of Ahihara Karate International in Polgahawela, Sri Lanka.

A�A� A� A� A� A� A�During the period of Gulf War (1991-1992), shihan Anil was conducting a training camp in Saudi Arabia as karate Instructor of US Army. At the end of 1992, he visited Shihan See Chang Kong in Singapore.

A�A� A� A� A� A� A�In 1994, shihan Anil Hudasinghe was assigned as the Sri Lanka branch chief of Ashihara Karate International Organization, by the official recommendation of the late Europe Chairman, Shihan David C. Cook.

A�A� A� A� A� A� A�In 2000, shihan Anil, visited Netherlands, Austria, Dubai, Japan and Bahrain while taking part in and conducting various karate programs representing the Sri Lanka Branch of Ashihara Karate, to the international nation.

A�A� A� A� A� A� A�By the early of 2004, shihan Anil was invited to conduct a Karate Training Program as a senior instructor of fitness and karate, attached to the Institution of ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia. He then returned back to Sri Lanka at the end of August 2006, with the intention of quenching the thirst of his students in Sri Lanka who were impatiently, awaiting for the arrival of their branch chief.

A�A� A� A�A�A� A� A�As an evaluation of the meritorious service that he has provided to the field and the effort that he put towards the enhancement, both locally and internationally, shihan Anil Hudasinghe was awarded with the merit of SAMA SRI VIJAYA KIRTHI, from the United Organization of All Communities, in the year 2003, creating a remarkable record of being the first as well as the only Master of Karate who has awarded with the above merit, for the entire history.
